The late Samuel H. Morgan, Sr. opened Morgan Funeral Home on May 1, 1922 at its current location on 31 Main Street in downtown Netcong. For several decades, Mr. Morgan ran his funeral business. His son, the late Samuel H. Morgan, Jr. joined his father in the business in 1858. Mr. Morgan, Sr. continued to operate the business until his death in 1981. In 1999, the Kanapaux family, owners of Whitham-Kanapaux Funeral Home in Rockaway, joined Mr. Samuel Morgan, Jr. in assisting with the daily operations of the funeral home.
