Description
Arthur Kipps, a young solicitor, is sent to Crythin Gifford to inquire on the death of the reclusive and elderly Mrs. Alice Drablow, known by many to be 'the woman in black.' However, the townsfolk are very reluctant to reveal anything they know about the deceased woman, striking Arthur's suspicion. As he digs deeper, he begins to uncover a mystery involving an illegitimate child, a tragic death, and a vengeful spirit.
